Carlos LA Rosa | Banquet Captain
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Carlos La Rosa is completely fluent in both English and Spanish. Carlos has lived in Sarasota, Florida for 13 years. He has worked his way up in the restaurant industry, starting as a busser at Gateway to India in Sarasota, to earning his position as Banquet Captain for The Francis. Here is his story.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY?
My 1st job was at the Ritz at 16. I did every position you can think of from dish to house keeping. Once I started doing events for them was when I learned how much I enjoyed doing them and I decided to make it my career.

What is your most memorable trait in your work life?
How attentive I am to make sure people have everything they need during their event. (Ask Ryan, our Event Director, if you need more details. He gets all the emails lol)
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FORWARD TO MOST AS A MEMBER OF THE TABLESEIDE FAMILY?
I look forward for the company to continue to grow and I like my position and would like to stay in that position ;-)
